• The Navy's UAS program at Pax River also saw a leadership change on 🗓 July 11, 2025.
• A new NAWCAD commander committed to enhancing naval aviation capabilities on 🗓 June 14, 2025.
• Another key leadership transition occurred on 🗓 June 18, 2025, within the Naval Aviation Training Systems and Ranges Program Office.

These innovations evidence a strategic focus on enhancing capabilities and operational tech sophistication, which are essential for maintaining security in a constantly evolving defense landscape.

• On 🗓 May 21, 2025, a new unmanned test system was introduced to speed up UAS development at NAWCAD.
• The Navy declared initial operational capability for the Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band System on 🗓 January 6, 2025, marking a significant stride in electronic warfare capabilities.
• A new oxygen purity test was developed to improve aircrew safety at NAWCAD on 🗓 May 5, 2025.
• As of 🗓 December 23, 2024, the Navy’s unmanned detect-and-avoidance technology became operational, enhancing flight safety.
• The installation of the first MQ-25 unmanned air warfare center was completed aboard USS George H.W. Bush on 🗓 August 15, 2024.
