Finnfund has been active in fostering innovation, particularly in emerging markets, through strategic partnerships and investments. These efforts focus on advancing digital infrastructure and renewable energy projects that align with their sustainability goals.

• On 🗓 November 1, 2021, Finnfund partnered with the University of Helsinki to invest in microfinancing projects in Africa and Asia, promoting financial inclusion.
• On 🗓 July 8, 2024, asset manager CREI received $25 million to green telecom towers in South Sudan, highlighting Finnfund's commitment to sustainable technology.
• On 🗓 July 9, 2024, CREI also secured $20 million to solarise telecoms towers, boosting renewable energy initiatives in Africa.
